STEPS TO FOLLOW:

1. USA FOOTBALL CERTIFICATION:

Whether you already have a USA Football account or need to create an account for the first time, use the following: https://usafootball.com/dashboard?orgId=001C000000ocpYXIAY

Complete directions for 2019 are here. Please read the directions first:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.leagueathletics.com/Images/Club/10290/2019 Coach Certifications/2019 Youth Tackle Coach Certification Steps.pdf

Coupon Code: FFCYFL19

Please be sure that you do not share this code with individuals outside of your league.

2.  CPR/AED FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

Tackle Coaches must have a valid certification through the entirety of the 2019season. The certification is valid for 2 years, so if you completed your certification last season it is still valid and you can skip this section. To check your certification status and timeline in which the certification is valid, please check the following link -CLICK HERE. Again, this list includes the expiration date of your CPR/AED & First Aid Certification.

If your certification has expired or will expire during the 2019 season, we have arranged an online CPR/AED course as well as a First Aid course with the International CPR Institute.  Both courses may be taken 100% online and each course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.  You will need to complete both courses as soon as possible but please do not register for the courses until you are ready to take them.  The league will be charged as soon as you register so we do not want to be charged for courses that you are not ready complete immediately.

Please click this link to get to the web page to take the courses:    https://www.icpri.com/corporate/darien-football

NOTEThose coaches who have existing accounts because they have taken the course before will not be able to use the link above. Instead, simply log into your existing account, add the course(s) you need, and enter promo code "darien". It will drop your cost to zero and DJFL will be charged appropriately.

You will need your email address to identify yourself and to automatically have a certificate of completion sent to you as soon as you finish each course.  You will also need to create a password that you will need to use each time you login should you do not complete the course at one sitting.  Again, we encourage those taking the online courses to complete them immediately.  Make sure you use a password that you will not forget.

Once you login, the directions on each page are very clear.  If you should get logged out for any reason, do not go back to the form.  You can simply log back in anytime by going to www.icpri.com/access.  This is the main login page and if you have any problems, or if you need technical support of any kind, you will need to contact technical support.  Any assistance with the site will be handled directly by International CPR Institute so do not contact myself or the DJFL for matters related to the certification programs..  Their email address is and their hours of technical support are 8:00 am until 10:00 pm.  They will respond to you very quickly to solve any issues.

Note:

Those coaches who completed Marj Trifone's CPR class on  May 13 do not have to take the online CPR/First Aid courses. Please attach your Certification certificate on the DJFL website during your Coach Registration. You  can search your emails for your Certificate of Certification from the  American Red Cross on the evening of May 13. Look for an email from: . If you did not take Marj Trifone’s CPR class in May, you will have TWO courses to complete online and will receive TWO certification documents. Please upload both documents into the correct fields. If you cannot find your certificate, try this website: https://classes.redcross.org/web_common_img/assets/rco/Get_Certificate.html

3.  Register on the DJFL website and enter all the above certification information. A Background Check is now part of the coach registration. You will be guided to a secure NCSI site for your Background Check.

Here is the link to register as a coach and to enter all your certification information on the DJFL website:

NOTES:

  1. When entering dates on the DJFL registration, please use two digits for the year instead of four digits. (8/1/19 instead of 8/1/2019)

  2. If you are a parent of a player or are in the system from prior years of involvement, there is no need to re-enter all your information. Log into your profile using your email address and follow the directions on the prompts for registering/logging in. Please do not duplicate your profile.

  3. Please be sure your member information page (profile page) includes your Date of Birth or you will not be able to register as a coach. If you do need to add your date of birth, be sure to click on "submit" and then go back to this email with the link and try again. Your date of birth should have a four digit year. Your profile is the only place that should have a four digit year.

  4. If you no longer have access to your profile because of an email address change, please contact for help.

5.  Document for DJFL Insurance.

During your DJFL Coach Registration, you will be required to agree to a policy regarding Sexual Abuse and Misconduct. You will be signing the document digitally and should review the entire document as well as the documents found under "Policy and Documents" on the left menu of the home page on djfl.org.

Please contact Chris Harwick at  or Linda Colgan at if you have any questions. Thank for your completing the requirements BEFORE 8/1.
